Opening Sentences...

          O Lord our Lord,
your greatness is seen in all the world!

When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place,

          O Lord our Lord,
your greatness is seen in all the world!

what is man that you are mindful of him, the son of man that you care for him? You made him a little lower than the heavenly beings and crowned him with glory and honor.

          O Lord our Lord,
your greatness is seen in all the world!

You made him ruler over the works of your hands; you put everything under his feet: all flocks and herds, and the beasts of the field, the birds of the air, and the fish of the sea, all that swim the paths of the seas.

          O Lord our Lord,
your greatness is seen in all the world!

Prayer of praise and adoration...

Loving Creator, Father God, your majesty and splendour are written large in the world you have made, your greatness is seen in all the world.  From purple-peaked mountain to brown, crumbly molehill, from swelling ocean to trickling stream, from soaring eagle to wriggling worm, your awesome life-giving power throbs through the world and beats in our lives.  We praise you and adore you.

Loving Brother, Son of God, Jesus our Lord, you came into the world as light in darkness, as rain to a parched land, as bread to a hungry soul.  You brought the words of eternal life, you took despair and death to the cross and rose again triumphant.  In you we see the Father; in you we see how our lives can be; in you we find fulness of life; in you we find forgiveness and are born again to new hope, new peace, new joy, new love.  We praise you and adore you.

Loving Companion, Spirit of God, you are the pulse of God within us, you are the breath of God through us, you are the arms of God around us.  In you God's Word comes alive; in you we see ourselves as we are; in you we sense the needs of the world around us; in you we find God's strength to live as true disciples; in you we find the courage to serve.  We praise you and adore you.

Loving Creator, Loving Brother, Loving Companion,  Father, Son and Holy Spirit, Loving God - we praise you and adore you.   Amen.

Prayer of Confession...

Lord our God, Father, creator of all things beautiful:
forgive us for the way we treat your world.
For failing to keep it clean, for polluting its rivers and streams,
for leaving litter when we should take it home, please forgive us and help us to mend our ways.

L: We are sorry we have let you down:
R: Help us to start again.

Lord our God, Father of Jesus our Saviour: forgive us for failing
to love our neighbours and friends with the love Jesus showed us,
for not welcoming strangers from other cultures, races and
communities, for closing our eyes to the needs of others and for putting ourselves first.

L: We are sorry we have let you down:
R: Help us to start again.

Lord our God, sender of the Holy Spirit to guide and lead us into
all truth: forgive us for abusing many of the gifts she brings, for
not cherishing the hallmarks of the Spirit - love, joy and peace -
and for not letting them speak through our lives. Forgive us for
spreading gossip, bringing division, telling lies.

L: We are sorry we have let you down:
R: Help us to start again.

Lord, you forgive us as we forgive others.
Help us not to hold grudges against other people,
but to be gracious to those who have harmed us
and loving to those who would hate us.
Help us never to be embittered but always to strive for the best
and to see the best in others.
We can only do these things with your help.
May the Holy Spirit fill our lives with the love of Jesus. Amen

Offertory Prayer...
